Whilst the vast majority of people have opinions about America and the American people, Charles Groenhuijsen has his own unique perspective and admits being stateside is an experience he misses. What’s interesting about his findings is that although America has clearly made its mark in societal history, due to its fast success and a rags to riches ascendency, what came before is relatively unknown by those that live there. To most outsiders the nation has an underwhelming appreciation of its history, yet its evident the country has the ability to create some of the most sparking events in History, some of which we’re addicted to talking about.
Change is the only constant in the world and it’s clear to see that America is indeed changing. For better or for worse, we each have an opinion. To reflect on the last few years, we can see that the unexpected can and will continue to happen. With that comes the need for all of us to stand up for what we believe in. This October, Groenhuijsen will release his newest book; ‘All Things Pass’. Even Donald Trump! In his book he explores the upcoming presidential election and the rapidly changing society in the US.
He’s since moved back to the Netherlands with his wife, and now writes to prepare talks about his experiences, and the idiosyncrasies he discovered in the land of opportunity.
