Below are some of the frequently asked questions we get on the day of the event – these should help you with any queries you have too!
TEDxAmsterdam 2018 will be held at the International Theatre Amsterdam (ITA), the former Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam.
We encourage you to use public transport to get to the ITA. An updated list of the trams and buses that go to the ITA is below:
282, 283 and 284 stop on the Kleine Gartmanplantsoen.
1, 2, 5,7,11 and 19 stop at at least one of the 4 stops below.

I can’t access the live stream. What’s wrong?
It could be an issue with your browser or a missing system requirement. Learn more here.
How long can I view the livestream?
The live stream will be available until TEDxAmsterdam talks are edited, approved and uploaded – usually this takes around 3-4 days.
Why don’t I hear any sound?
If you can’t hear sound on the live stream, click here to troubleshoot with these possible solutions.
How can I share photos of the event?
We have a number of amazing photographers taking photos on the day. Images will be transferred in real time to a url, thanks to our partner Flickfeeder. We’ll make sure to share the link on our Facebook Event page so that you can access them to find and share photos of your favourite speaker or performer, or great shots of you and your connections in the crowd! (There’s bound to be a new profile pic in there!)
How should I credit photos I share?
Don’t forget to tag the photographer who took the photos you share. Each image will be tagged so that you can give them the credit they deserve.

What is the program for the day?
The event will take place from 9.30am – 6.00pm, followed by networking drinks until 8.00pm. Registration is from 9.00am. Below are the sessions times.

What are TEDxAmsterdam shows?
The TEDxAmsterdam shows* are our way of celebrating 10 years of TEDxAmsterdam. We have invited a number of speakers and acts from the last 9 years to contribute. The shows are short – only 40 minutes, so fast-paced, talk-show like, with video, acts, interviews, and audience interaction.
The shows take place in 5 different areas of the venue.
Note, only some shows will be live streamed.
What is the BigxBrainstorm?
For this edition of TEDxAmsterdam, with the help of our partners, we'll be holding TheBigXBrainstorm – a brainstorm about the future of our city.
A great number of speakers who are related to five important topics that society needs to address – healthcare, technology, culture, humanity and the environment – have been invited to draw on their personal expertise and share a story, idea or problem with attendees.
True to the format of a brainstorm, they'll need the audience's input too, because the future is one big puzzle, and we're all a part of it.
Participants will also visualise their ideas in a unique way. All will be revealed on the day.
Do I need to bring my confirmation email to enter the event?
Yes. Please bring a copy of your email confirmation, which will be used at registration on the day. Digital is preferred!
Where do I go if I have a question about the event on the day?
There are a number of very friendly TEDxAmsterdam staff and volunteers at the event. They can be identified by their white shirts with TEDxAmsterdam branding. If you have a query about the program or venue, feel free to ask them – they’ll be more than happy to help.

Is there wifi at the venue?
