The team of volunteers consisted of 100 people.
People could follow the event via a livestream and speakers could be asked questions in Google+ Hangouts. During breaks speakers and additional guests were interviewed as part of a studio program.
After the event our host, Jim Stolze, and speakers Katja Schuurman, René Gude, Leonard van Munster and Peter van Uhm were invited to be on the Dutch TV show Pauw en Witteman. Peter van Uhm talked about the impact his talk at TEDxAmsterdam 2011 had.
The theme was, again, Human Nature. Who are we, how do we think, feel and act? What are our limitations, and how can we overcome them?

Everything Is Permitted
Where is the line between art and morals? Turning your cat into a handbag might be it. Tinkerbell challenges the way we think with her provoking art and this very interesting talk.
It Is Time for a Good Story
Dutch actress, TV-presenter and entrepreneur Katja Schuurman gave an amazing talk about the power that we all hold as consumers. "Changes happen when just one indivual dares to look beyond what's familiar". With her company, Return to Sender, she shows how a private initiative can contribute to the sustainable development of the poorest regions in the world.
Why Did I Choose?
"What makes a person male or female?" Valentijn De Hingh asked. In this very openhearted talk she shares her thoughts on the gender dichotomy and how that led to her gender reassignment surgery.
Act: Black journey
One of the other highlights of the day was the beautuful performance, Black Journey. The piece was created by choreographer David Middeldorp and produced by Korzo Theater.
